About this place
Settle in for a leisurely evening of food and drinks, perhaps starting with the crab miso peperoncino. Diners have singled out the pasta’s distinctive crab miso flavour, and this wine bar offers a satisfying choice of dishes, too. The menu also features red, white and black ragù pasta, as well as truffle-scented carbonara. For a lighter bite, try the Kitahikari potato salad with iburigakko or the white-mould salami; to round off a meal, there is cured ham risotto or rice topped with raw egg.
Sherry is a particular draw, with more than 30 varieties available at all times, ranging from dry to sweet. The selection spans fino, amontillado, oloroso and Pedro Ximénez, offering plenty to choose from whether you fancy a post-dinner glass or a drink with your meal. By-the-glass wines are grouped by style: crisp, fruity or full-flavoured whites, and light-, medium- or full-bodied reds. The selection changes daily. One diner enjoyed asking for pairing suggestions, and remembered white wine with white liver, red wine with confit, and liqueur with cheesecake.
If you are unsure what to order first, champagne is available as a special offer on the first order only. The calm atmosphere and suitability for solo dining make MUSCA a good fit for an unhurried evening of wine and food in Nakai.
